A.  The Dissertation Committee

攻读博士学位的学生必须证明自己有很高的学识, 学术论述能力和选择能力, 通过论文组织和应用知识.  “准备论文的指导方针”由澳门皇冠体育研究生院开发和加强, 提供了关于格式标准的最佳实践示例，这些标准必须在研究生部最终批准之前得到满足.

Each student should obtain a copy of the “Guidelines for Preparing a Doctoral Dissertation”.

B.  Master’s Thesis and Project

Each student should obtain a copy of the “Guidelines for Preparing a Masters’ Thesis” or “Guidelines for a Master’s Project“

机构审查委员会(IRB)和机构动物护理和使用委员会(IACUC)

• If your proposed research involves human subjects, 它必须得到澳门皇冠体育机构审查委员会的批准, (IRB).
• If your proposed research involves animals, 它必须得到澳门皇冠体育机构动物护理和使用委员会的批准.

Student’s Responsibility

• Choosing a chairperson following the policies & guidelines of the major department.
• 根据政策，与主席一起选择论文委员会的成员 & guidelines of the major department.
• 与主席会面并制定及时完成论文的时间表.
• Keeping on schedule.
• 将所有论文材料以正确的格式提交给主席.
• Knowing and meeting all deadlines.
• Filing all forms in a timely manner.

Advisor and Committee’s Responsibility

了解政策是主席和委员会成员的责任, rules, 以及研究生部和主要部门与论文过程相关的规定.

此外，委员会主席还负责..

• Ensuring that the student is aware of the rules, 研究生部及系所之规章及政策.
• 协助学生组成一个委员会.
• Meeting with the student on a regular basis.
• Keeping the scheduled appointments.
• 确保学生的作业有适当的记录，不被抄袭.
• 安排招股说明书听证会，如果需要，和论文的最后答辩.
• 通知各委员及系主任开会的地点、时间 & date of the prospectus hearing.
• 通知研究生院院长、学院院长、系主任和委员会成员会议的地点、时间 & date of the final defense.

Committee’s Responsibility

It is the committee members’ responsibility to …

• Attend the prospectus hearing and final defense.
• 在写作过程中通读学生的作品.
• 提供书面反馈，以纠正和/或改进论文.
• 系主任/项目主任的职责

了解和执行政策是部门主席/项目主管的责任, rules, 以及研究生部和系/项目的规定.

The chair/director is also responsible for….

• 确保部门/项目的研究生教师了解并遵守政策, 研究生部的规章制度.
• Keeping the faculty abreast of rule, 研究生部政策和程序的变化.
• 如有必要，充当学生和指导老师之间的联络人.
• 确保论文顾问和所有委员会成员都有资格服务.
